Freshwater Biology

Freshwater biologists investigate the biology and ecology of organisms living in lakes and streams. EEMB faculty focus on stream ecology, limnology, ecology of wetlands and salt lakes, tropical ecology, and physical processes in areas such as the Amazon Basin, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the California coastal zone, and the Alaskan tundra.
