Ecosystems Ecology

Ecosystems ecologists investigate the flow of energy and materials through ecosystems and the impacts of the physical and chemical environment on ecosystem functioning. EEMB faculty investigate such topics as carbon and nutrient cycling, biogeochemistry, biogeography, impacts of global warming and environmental change, bio-physical coupling, dispersal, and bio-optical modeling.
