Area of Research
Understanding the functional significance of protein modifications, halogenation and zinc cross-linking in biologically hard materials is the focus of my research. I use a multidisciplinary approach to study inorganic, biochemical, structural and mechanical properties of the jaws of a marine worm, Nereis, advancing to bio-inspired studies.
