Presented lectures on a variety of topics throughout the course in reproductive physiology and endocrinology (syllabus can be provided upon request). Facilitated discussion sections and review sessions. Assisted in preparation of lecture material and exams.

Presented lectures on a variety of topics throughout the course in reproductive physiology and endocrinology primarily for non-majors and freshman students (syllabus can be provided upon request).  Facilitated discussion sections and review sessions.  Assisted in preparation of lecture materials and exams.

Development and implementation of new curriculum designed for incoming first year biology students.

EEMB/MCDB 149 Mariculture for the 21st Century: Research Frontiers
Lectures given on recent progress and new directions in research increasing production of valuable marine fish species. Control of reproduction, development, growth and disease in selected species; problems encountered in commercializing production; regional and biological solutions; the role of modern biotechnology.

 

Undergraduate Mentoring

While regular mentoring of undergraduate assistants is a fundamental aspect of work in the Collins lab I am particularly proud to have been a part of the successful research projects that have received Research & Creative Activities awards from the College of Letters & Science at UCSB.
