This website contains information on the current state of mapping the Tetrahymena thermophila genome, based on nearly 400 RAPD DNA polymorphisms. Included is valuable information for anyone wishing to learn about Tetrahymena genetics, consult current maps or do Tetrahymena mapping.

Database Directory:

• RAPDs & Micronuclear (Germline;MIC) Genetics. Overview of MIC linkage groups listed by chromosome arm; information on each RAPD: name, PCR primers, polymorphic band size, MIC chromosome arm and linkage group assignment; coincident RAPDs, direct/reverse RAPD pairs, and cognate RAPDs.
  
• Map Coordinates. MIC linkage groups listed by chromosome arm; current maximum likelihood map coordinates of loci, listed by linkage group.
  
• Macronuclear Genetics. MAC coassortment groups, autonomously replicating piece (ARP) sizes, nuclear fate (MIC-limited or MAC-destined).
