Terms of Use

The dinosaur mailing list (DML) was created as an aid in communication, so use of its associated web pages is intended to be for that same general purpose. The list is educational and public-service oriented, rather than commercial.

Nevertheless, various aspects of the site and its content are covered by applicable copyright laws. Copyrights for the website and all content contained therein are retained by the authors of said content. You may not duplicate the site for commercial purposes, nor may you extract the content of these pages without permission from the authors (excepting “fair use”, of course). If you wish to frame any of the DML web pages, there should be a clear distinction between DML web space and your own -- you are not to present any of our web pages as though they were created by you.

Because we are a non-commercial site, we do not house advertisements here, and thus feel no need to force anyone to look at any particular part of our web space in order to obtain the “right” to view other parts. Hence permission is freely granted for anyone to create links to any of our pages (i.e., “deep linking” to our web pages is acceptable even without explicit permission).

To cover our bums (i.e., in case we've forgotten anything we meant to put in here or left unintentional loopholes), we do reserve the right to change these terms of use without prior notice. If you're a panic-prone lawyer or work in service of same, you might want to check this page for updates if you have links to any web pages officially belonging to the DML.

These terms of use do NOT extend to permission to peruse our pages searching for valid e-mail addresses. If you are a spammer or a harvester for spammers, you are instructed to leave this place and do no harm.
